Benjamin grew up in a small town in Saskatchewan where sports were a big part of everyday life. Competing in multiple sports taught him early on that high performance is not only a result of talent, but also of a strong work ethic, quality coaching, and consistent perseverance.

After high school, Benjamin moved to Saskatoon to study Kinesiology at the University of Saskatchewan. During that time he worked with the men’s volleyball team as a student physiotherapist, and later on, with the women’s volleyball team as an assistant coach. He was also the head strength and conditioning coach for both varsity programs. These experiences play an important role in how he coaches today, with the understanding that strength and conditioning is more than just lifting weights– it’s about purposeful programming, proper technique, and consistency.

Since finishing his BA in Kinesiology, Benjamin has spent the past decade continuing to work with high-performance athletes. As the Physical Fitness Coordinator for the Saskatoon Police, he works with both civilian and sworn members to support effective movement and physical health. Benjamin has coached many club volleyball teams of various levels, his u18 girls team finishing in the top 25 at the Canadian Youth National Championships. He is passionate about supporting young athletes in reaching their goals through sport-specific strength and conditioning, continuing to train athletes within a variety of sport backgrounds: hockey, ringette, volleyball, baseball, fastball, track & field, golf, and others.
